Official FAQ
- What is Typewise?
- Typewise is an AI customer experience platform. Businesses use it to run AI agents that resolve customer service requests end to end across email, chat, WhatsApp and social, set up and improved in plain language, with no code.
- Is Typewise a chatbot?
- No. Typewise is a resolution engine, not a chatbot. It completes the whole request — looking up the order, applying your policy, closing the ticket — and hands anything needing judgment to a person with full context. Chatbots mostly deflect; Typewise is measured on resolution.
- Isn’t Typewise a keyboard app?
- Not any more. Typewise started in 2019 as a consumer keyboard app, but that chapter closed in 2022 when the company joined Y Combinator and moved to business software. Today it is solely an AI customer experience platform for businesses.
- How does Typewise pricing work?
- Pricing is success based: a monthly plan plus a per-resolution rate that drops as your volume grows. A fully resolved request counts once, a partial hand-off counts half, and unresolved requests are free. See the pricing page for current figures.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. You can start free with a batch of free resolutions and no credit card, connect your own inbox, and see how it performs on your real tickets before you pay.
- How fast can it go live, and do I need a developer?
- You can connect your inbox and have a first AI agent live in about 15 minutes, with no developer. You describe how your business works in plain language. Larger, governed rollouts take longer and come with guided onboarding.
